Labour Day 2014 party ideas
There are few things many Edmonton residents like better than a day off of work. Now, don’t get us wrong, we love our jobs and we love working for a great company like Great West Chrysler, and most of all, we love you, our customers. But sometimes it’s nice to just have a break from life and relax. For those hoping to get in one last hoorah before the weather turns cooler and the kids go back to school, throw a great event with our Labour Day 2014 party ideas.
Cookout
While Labour Day is truly about celebrating the labor movement, which brought us the 8-hour work day, but it is also known for marking the end of summer and the beginning of the transcendence into fall. A cookout with friends, family and drinks is the perfect way to end a beautiful summer.
Yard games
Obviously one of the best and favorite things about summer is the weather and being able to come out of our Edmonton winter hibernation cycles to feel the warmth of the sun on our faces and the sand in our toes. A great way to celebrate the end of summer and Labour Day 2014 is with yard games such as bean bag toss, badminton, bocce ball, and disc toss.
Go on a road trip
Spending the dog days of summer with family and friends is a given, but who says you have to stay at home? You can have just as much fun on an Edmonton mini road trip, a day at the beach or even having an outdoor movie marathon. Just as long as you’re spending your time doing something with the ones you love, there isn’t a better day to be had.
Labour Day 2014 party ideas are not limited to this list. What do you plan to be doing to celebrate this Labour Day? It takes place on September 1, 2014. We’d love to hear from you!
