How will you be celebrating Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving parade Edmonton 2014

This holiday season, make Thanksgiving something special. Rather than just making a meal and sharing it with family and friends, start a new tradition. While we haven’t heard any of the details of the Thanksgiving parade Edmonton 2014, there are a few other worthwhile events in the area that you may want to partake in to make your Thanksgiving extra special.

For example, you could go to the apple orchard or pumpkin patch and pick your own apples and pumpkins to make special homemade little treats.

Another idea for celebrating Thanksgiving this year is to visit Fort Edmonton Park. There are a few Thanksgiving-related events such as the Thanksgiving Dinner at the Johnson’s Cafe and Thanksgiving brunch, which is also at the cafe.

For each of these events, tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets for brunch start at $22.95 for children ages 5 to 12 and $32.95 for adults.

Tickets for the dinner event are a little more pricey, and are $37 for children older than 10 and adults are $45. Children younger than 10 cost $15.

The dinner event takes place October 12 and October 13. There are four time slots available for each day for which you can purchase tickets; 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Brunch is a similar setup, but only takes place on October 12. There are also four time slots available for brunch for which you can purchase tickets; 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.

Brunch will feature a variety of delicious dishes all featuring locally grown products.
