It’s a big time of year in Edmonton. No, I’m not talking about the two month build up to the greatest holiday of the year, Halloween, which is a really important time. Like guys… it’s only like 5 weeks away. I don’t even have a costume yet!? Anyway… we’re right on the precipice of one of the biggest days in recent Edmonton history. This weekend marks the grand opening of the brand new Edmonton Area, AKA Rogers Place, as well as the entire Ice District in the downtown core!
It’s an exciting time. Over the coming years, we’re getting a variety of new restaurants and entertainment venues, which more importantly means more delicious food options. So many foods… There’s a skating rink! And a movie theater with VIP treatment! This was well overdue, it’s horrible trying to get tickets to the VIP Theater for any big movie. There’s also a brand new casino called The Grand Villa that opens this weekend, which will offer a variety of entertainment and yep, you guessed it, food options itself!
There are plans for a new luxury hotel that offers an exclusive spa pool and outdoor terrace to go with its rooms. The JW Marriot Hotel is instantly THE place to stay for all out of town guests.
There’s also a new 50,000 sq ft. public plaza in the works, which will offer great things like more food options and even holiday time fun with the new skating rink. Seems like the perfect place for a hot dog stand or three.
In honor of the new arena opening, we at Great West Chrysler are celebrating with our Hit The Ice with Great West Chrysler Promotion. We’re offering huge deals on a variety of vehicle models. We’re offering up to $12,500 off of select 2016 RAM vehicles, as well as over $11,000 off on the 2016 Chrysler Town & Country, and 0% financing over 36 months for the 2016 Dodge Dart.
