But before you go on that next road trip, don’t forget to get your vehicle ready for the spring season. At Great West Chrysler, we want to help you get your vehicle ready for the coming season, whether it is a Chrysler, a Jeep or a Dodge. Are you ready? Then let’s get started.
Spring is on the way!
If you really want to enjoy driving during the spring season, then there are a number of things you should do to get your vehicle ready. After 6 months of driving on muddy winter roads, your vehicle will need some thorough cleaning. And remember, during the winter, you do not only drive your vehicle in snow but also in a lot of dirt mixed with salt. So there is probably accumulated grime on your vehicle. Therefore, the first thing to do is to clean your vehicle from the inside out. Also pay special attention to your vehicle’s undercarriage because accumulated dirt can cause erosion.
Once you finish cleaning your vehicle’s undercarriage, then it’s time to focus on the rest of the body. On the exterior, remember to remove any residue from the winter dirt, you can also use this opportunity to touch up the paint and repair any scratches. Also take your vehicle in for general maintenance and get any dents or dings repaired. In the interior of your vehicle, make sure to clean the floor mats, reorganize the glove compartment and remove any winter brushes and accessories from your vehicle’s cabin and from the trunk. Don’t forget to also swap your winter tires with all-season or performance tires.
Spring into adventure!
There are still a couple of things to get your vehicle ready for the spring season. For your safety, you will also have to check your brakes. The harsh winter weather and the road salt might have impacted the condition of your brakes. You have probably already complained about the many potholes in the city, and they do not only make driving difficult but they might also cause damage to your vehicle. So in order to counter any negative consequences caused by potholes, you have to check your tire alignment and get them realigned if necessary. Last but not least, it will also be important for you to check all your fluids, including wipers fluids and engine oil. And that’s it! Your vehicle is now ready for spring!
