Edmonton Fringe Festival
An annual tradition in our city, the Edmonton Fringe Festival is one of the largest and longest-running live theatre festivals in North America. Since 1982, the Edmonton International Fringe Festival has created an incredible community for the performing arts, hosting countless live shows from people across the world. There are dozens of shows to check out along the Old Strathcona area, and reviews for this year’s selection have never been higher, so make your way over and catch a live show.
“That’s Entertainment Weekend” At Ford Edmonton Park
Speaking of live shows, you can catch even more live theatre outside the Old Strathcona area, with Ford Edmonton’s “That’s Entertainment Weekend.” Visit the iconic Edmonton theme park for a wide variety of family-friendly activities throughout different eras. There’s even dancing, painting, and even a Glee club to satisfy those looking to exercise those vocal chords.
Dinosaurs Unearthed: Down to the Bone
Make your over to the TELUS World of Science and see the latest exhibition on display. Dinosaurs Unearthed: Down to the Bone lets you embark on a prehistoric journey of life on Earth when the dinosaurs still roamed. This fun and interactive exhibit has full-scale animatronic dinosaurs, full-scale skeletons, prehistoric scenes, authentic fossils, and more. It’s an experience that’s 65-million years in the making!
Edmonton Blues Festival
Every year, the Edmonton Blues Festival brings some of the most talented and exceptional blues musicians to our city. Award-winning musicians and amateurs alike have graced the Heritage Amphitheater with some of the most soulful sounds in recent time. This year’s Blues festival marks the 20th anniversary of the event, prompting them to bring back some of the most requested acts and performers throughout its tenure. Come and enjoy this intimate and world-class celebration of music this weekend!
