Out with the old

The 2019 Ram 1500 is parting ways with a few classic design elements. The Crosshair grille, one made famous by sitting at the front of Ram vehicles in years past, is no more. Its replacement, a distinct grille for each of the 7 new trims that will arrive with the 2019 Ram 1500 this Fall. The RAM emblem which has been the same for nearly 40 years, has gotten a bit of an upgrade, with a more angular look to it, which you can also find on the back tailgate on most 2019 Ram trims.

We’ve gone away with the classic interior layout. The rear floor is now completely flat and features 4 tie-down rings as well as in-floor storage bins. They’ve also redesigned the electrical architecture, which uses the tried and true safety technology that Ram is known for, like Adaptive Cruise Control, and Forward Collision Warning, in a more efficient and more effective way. Additionally, the frame has dropped 100 pounds while the max payload has increased by 420 pounds and the towing capacity has increased by 2,050 pounds. The new design is bigger and better than ever.

In with the new

Ram has big things planned for 2019. It’s getting a huge boost in comfort, luxury, and efficiency departments for next year’s model. The new touchscreen interior display uses a 12-inch monitor that will be sharper and brighter than any of previous designs, with more functionality like pinch-to-zoom, and more agility when cycling through the apps and features. The 2019 Ram is going to be fully compatible with smartphone and tablet technology.

The front console offers a smartphone/tablet docking station, with wireless charging, while the rear seat cup holders are designed in a way to safely hold a phone or tablet to use for back seat passengers. The 2019 Ram also has an expanded version of Sirius XM satellite radio, with on-demand content available. This gives you access to archived shows as well as the ability to pause live shows and to resume them at your convenience. The 2019 Ram also has acoustically designed laminated glass and active noise cancellation, with makes it the quietest truck ever design. You’ll be able to hear the 900-watt, 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system without any needless exterior noise.

It’s clear that the 2019 is the most technologically advanced truck we’ve ever seen. The new look is both stylish and bold in its innovative design, and it looks to be one of the safest work trucks driving on Canadian roads. Don’t miss this; the 2019 RAM 1500 is due to arrive this Fall.
