When it comes to reliability, your family can count on Edmonton Dodge and the Dodge Grand Caravan! The friendly folks at Great West Chrysler have unbeatable knowledge! Especially with Minivans, and why wouldn’t we? Minivans have been the bread and butter of Chrysler since the minivan boom of the 80s and 90s, and now Dodge has taken on even more of that mantle. Models produced by our FCA companies like the Dodge Caravan and the Plymouth Voyager laid the way for the safe, economical vehicles that your family has access to today! Though the shorter wheelbase Dodge Caravan was eventually discontinued, the storied Caravan name still lives on today with the Dodge Grand Caravan.
Dodge Caravan Lifespan
Spanning 3 decades and 4 model generations, the Dodge Caravan wasn’t the first-ever minivan, but it did shape the class into what it is today. The Caravan made its official debut in 1984, running all the way until 2007, permanently shifting with the 5th generation model to the “Grand Caravan.” For Dodge fans, “caravan” is synonymous with the older Caravan models on the road (which there are plenty of) and the current 2019 Grand Caravan models.
Dodge Grand Caravan
Though many will still straight up call it the Caravan, the Dodge Grand Caravan is the only “Caravan” still being produced. And the Grand Caravan is proud to share its storied history with you! The 2019 version of the Grand Caravan is just as reliable as ever with a 3.6L Pentastar™ VVT V6 engine, good for 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. And with Stow ‘N Go Seating, you’ll be able to take the whole family wherever you need to go.
