Most people attribute the Battle of Alberta to two of our most infamous hockey teams, but we at Great West Chrysler know there’s another kind that’s been brewing for several decades. Of course, it’s the one between two of the best-selling trucks across Alberta: the Ram 1500 and the Ford F-150. Both trucks have stood the test of time, but only one remains as the best choice for Albertans—and that choice is RAM.
Read on to learn more about why Albertans choose the RAM 1500 every time, here at Great West Chrysler; your local Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/RAM dealership in Edmonton.

The RAM Advantage
For 2019, the RAM is built with some of the best interior features and amenities available. It’s never been more evident than when you first open the doors and see the real wood and leather trimming that canvases the entire truck from the inside. It’s soft to the touch, and feels even more luxurious when you’re in the back—passengers get best-in-class rear seat legroom with up to 1,145 mm of free space.
Incredible Standard Technologies
Extensively, the RAM 1500 also comes with a long list of incredible standard features that you may have to pay a little extra to get with the F-150. For example, its three USB ports, push-start button, and 5-inch touchscreen with the excellent UConnect all come with the RAM 1500, and you don’t even have upgrade to the Limited trim. At best, the F-150 comes standard with a rearview camera, radio, and regular climate controls—but the RAM 1500 already has those, too.
Performance & Handling
While the RAM 1500 and the F-150 prove themselves as very equal rivals when it comes to performance, towing capacity and payload, the former excels when it comes to handling tighter corners and turns. The 2019 redesign for the RAM gives it the upper hand, thanks to its multi-link coil spring rear suspension, which decreases friction, regular wear and tear, and even works to absorb road impact.
